Rail ‘n Ale

Black Star Coop, the world’s first cooperatively owned brewpub, invites you to check out their future digs, try out the new MetroRail on the last free day of service, and taste some yummy beer, at the Rail ‘n Ale Beer Social this Friday from 4-7 p.m.

The event is at Midtown Commons at Crestview Station.  Black Star Co-Op is coordinating group rides on MetroRail from Dowtown Station to Crestview, at 3:45, 4:20, and 4:55. The last southbound train back to downtown will leave Crestview at 6:05, so if you’re interested in staying for the full event, you’ll need to be prepared to take a bus back to downtown. No worries, there’s great bus service from Crestview Station to downtown, namely the 1L/1M, but we don’t want anyone to be surprised when they arrive by train and realize they will miss the last returning train.

Looks like fun!

Get Connected at Midtown Commons

Midtown Commons is the first transit oriented development (TOD) along Capital MetroRail’s Red Line. Developed by Trammel Crow, Midtown Commons is a compact, walkable community with a unique mix of residences, retailers and offices centered around transit. The development is located adjacent to Crestview Station and Capital Metro’s busiest bus line, the 1L/1M. Like other TODs, Midtown Commons brings together people, jobs and services with efficient and convenient connections by walking, cycling or transit.

Join Capital Metro at a Rare Magazine event celebrating the grand opening of Midtown Commons tomorrow from 6-9:30 p.m. (RSVP required). Tour the new MetroRail train, listen to music and enter for a chance to win six months free rent.
