Pizza Pies
East Side Pies: Located on Route 2, East Side Pies is an Austin favorite. The original spot is located in the heart of the Rosewood neighborhood, but there are three locations to choose from. East Side Pies – 1401 Rosewood Ave.
Home Slice: You can get to Home Slice on famous South Congress by riding MetroRapid 801. After enjoying a delicious slice, you can stroll around the avenue’s eclectic shops and hear some great live music. Check out our previous Urban Adventures to find more must-see spots. Pinthouse Pizza: Take Route 3 to grab delicious pizza and award-winning beers at Pinthouse Pizza. Austin Monthly named it Austin’s Best Brewpub in 2014. Bottoms up! Pinthouse Pizza – 4729 Burnet Rd.
Sweet Pies
Tiny Pies: After you take Route 3 to grab pizza from Pinthouse, hop back on and head north to grab dessert from another Burnet Road favorite, Tiny Pies. With flavors that include peanut butter cup and strawberry basis, these individual pies are the perfect size to satisfy your cravings. Tiny Pies – 5035 Burnet Rd.
Elaine’s Pork & Pie at Eastside Café: Ride Route 20 to Elaine’s—when ordering your delicious pork tacos and sandwiches, sure to save plenty of room for dessert! They’ve got slices, mini pies and plenty of other sweet treats to choose from. Elaine’s Pork and Pie at Eastside Café – 2113 Manor Rd.
Pie Plante: Take Route 10 to get to Austin’s newest pie trailer, Pie Plante, located at Oltorf and South 1st. Their handmade pie flavor changes daily, so check them out on Facebook for their features and decide if you want an entire pie or just a slice. Pie Plante – 504 W Oltorf St.
