Today marks the first of three days of community meetings to talk to riders about a fare increase proposal.
The Capital Metro Board of Directors voted to move forward with a fare increase proposal at their Sept. 28 meeting.
Local bus fare could go from 75 cents to $1 as early as January 2010.

Here’s where we’ll be over the next three days to discuss the proposal with you:
- EAST – ACC Eastview Campus, 3401 Webberville Rd
Monday, Oct. 19, 6-7:30 p.m.
Bus Routes: 2, 17, 300 - NORTH – Goodwill Community Facility, 1015 Norwood Park Blvd
Tuesday, Oct. 20, 6-7:30 p.m.
Bus Routes: 325, 339 - SOUTH – ACC South Campus, 1820 W Stassney Ln
Wednesday, Oct. 21, 6-7:30 p.m.
Bus Routes: 3, 311
There will also be a public hearing with the Capital Metro Board about the fare increase on Oct. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Capital Metro.
